RWS staycation
on going, we ended up at RWS again. This time we made a reservation for 5 days 4 nights and brought our helper along. Still our princess complained that the duration was too short! As usual her love for hotel beds and 24hour air-conditioned environment with daddy and mummy and Nathan were the immediate perks that attracted her attention. Nathan is simply too young to understand but the different activities each day made the week fun filled and he had no complains when he had both parents' and grandpa's attention all the time, making his little demands in his charming little ways that makes it difficult for us to reject him.
The 5days passed quickly with lots of water activities installed. the kids had a wonderful time at the waterpark. We were happy floating along the circumference of the vacinity watching fishes and stingrays as we swim by. We were thinking of joining the queue to feed and snorkle with the fishes but kiddos were too young and they cant swim on their own yet..so next time perhaps. Well we still had fun zooming around in the little car float!
Natalie a seasoned RWS guest knows the map of Universal studios by heart and we spent a great deal of time at the Far Away castle. Both kids loved the Donkey's Act and enjoyed the magic potion ride! Thanks to me we managed to catch the Monster show this round, but Natalie hated the pyrotechnics and kept complaining that it was too loud and covered her eyes as the monsters were too scary.. Nathan put up a brave front and seemed to enjoy the show much better than his elder sis.
Well gong gong also enjoyed himself with the kids. Though aged 72 this year he still managed to keep up with us and took care of the kids during the trip!! Really thankful that he could come along. There is so much catching up and reminder of the good old times when I was young and how he doted on us!! Not wanting to impose on our family time, he made early trips in to the resort each morning and we looked forward to meeting him at the breakfast buffet! This self-sacrificial spirit is so typical of him.. should have insisted on booking another room next time.
The entire family had a wonderful 5 days!! And the kiddos cant wait for the next staycation!
