Nathan's been in love with this little shark bag from "little like" which comes with a child's leash, rain cap in the shape of a shark and a functional bag with shall fin design.
Nathan would wear it the entire day and imagine travelling to all places with it! Ì really like it when he don on the shark cap. He will go "grrrrrr....I am a shark!"
Followed this recipe and despite the inexperience I still managed to bake a really yummy banana cake that is moist and fluffy. So since I can do it I am sure everyone else who tried this will have success as well! Enjoy!
Ingredient A (to combine and sieve)
250g Plain Flour
1tsp Baking Powder
1tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
Ingredients B (to combine and mash)
6-8 Small Bananas, mashed, and it should weight about 240g
1 tbsp Lemon Juice (Optional)
Ingredient C
180g Unsalted Butter
100g Castor Sugar
4 Egg Yolk
40g Brown Sugar
4 tbsp Fresh Milk
1tsp Vanilla Essence (Optional)
Ingredient D
4 Egg Whites
40g Castor Sugar
Method
Pre-heat oven 175 degree.
Grease and line 8 x 8 inch square cake tin. Or 8 inch round tin if you want. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, sieve, set aside.
Combine banana and lemon juice, mash, set aside.
Separate egg whites and yolk. In a clean and dry bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks, gradually add 40g castor sugar and beat until stiff peak.
Beat soft butter, castor sugar and brown sugar on high speed until light and fluffy. Add in egg yolk one at a time, mix till combined.
Add in mashed bananas, vanilla essence and fresh milk, mix well.
Mix half flour mixture on low speed until incorporated, and another half, mix until just smooth. Don't over mix it.
Put in half the egg whites in and mix on low speed.
Pour the balance egg white in and FOLD using your spatula.
Pour batter into pan and level.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.

Nathan: "slowly ok . Be careful choo choo train don't fall down. Dont bang into the door. It's painful ok. Go slowly."
Then he demonstrated how it would have felt for the trains to go off track and end up heading towards the door.
Funny that... shortly after his demonstration one train strayed towards the door and ended up banging against the wall. This was his reaction... ....
"I'll save you I'll save you! Dont cry choo choo train don't cry... "
And then the hero comes along!
Natalie is fast indulging in the world of princesses and each day she wants to wear beautiful gown like dresses, tie her hair neatly so she could wear the pretty tiaras. There will never be a day where we'll miss her asking to watch the cinderrella epidodes on you tube. These are p pictures of her taken in one of those Princessy little dresses that she loved!
Being a 4 year old just seems to have a few more privileges compared to the activities that a 2 year old could do. Take for instance USS. Most rides were restricted by height and children at 2 will most likely be naturally eliminated from them. Today Nathan faces the same problem but offered a really well attempted solution.
Background: Queuing for the car circuit ride at the mall.
Natalie: this ride is for four year old. I am four so I can take the ride.
Nathan: I am four years old too. Nathan can take the racing cars too ya pa pa.
Kid behind: (listening to the conversation intently)..I am 6 years old. Can I take the ride?
Funny that .. see how the 2 year old tried to bluff his way in and the 6 year old understanding the conversation and having doubts about himself. Power of comprehension!
Well Nathan didn't get to ride the circuit despite a good effort to work against the limitations of his age. Commended him for trying by buying a set of building blocks from *kiddy palace* which he could enjoy over the school holidays.
Since young I havent been a big fan of any occasions or celebrations but now that you have kids it seems only right to show appreciation to those who helped take care of them. So i took it on as a project with the kids to make some handicrafts for their teachers. We spent 3 nights to complete the artwork and the end product? Priceless!
Natalie had a blast at the pyjamas organised by her school! Well the day ended pretty fun in her opinion. I couldn't agree more! Kids wearing pjs to school? How I wish I am part of the fun!
Nathan on the other hand can't wait to see his teacher this sat. His artwork has a more masculine touch. .. rather than hearts he preferred planes and rockets!!
